Dead Ends

Nothing is more infuriating than a dead end.  Really?  We drove all this way and now it’s led us nowhere.  What now? We have to find our way back.  Back to where?  Back to where we started so we can figure out how to get where we’re going.

Confusing, right?  It’s meant to be.  It’s meant to stop us in our tracks and to discourage us from going further.  We are going a way that is not good for us and has nothing to offer us.  Our heavenly father knows this and wants to help us get back on track.  In fact, in Isaiah 43 God says many things including, “When your between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end”.   Wow!  God is making sure we are not stuck forever.

Dead ends tell us something we haven’t seen sooner.  There’s nothing left for us on this path.  Find a new one!  It’s scary, I know, trying to go in a whole  new direction; however, your not alone. See for yourself in Isaiah 43.1-4 where we are told:

“Don’t be afraid.  I’ve redeemed you.  I’ve called your name.  Your mine.  When your in over your head, I’ll be there with you.  When your in rough waters, you will not go down.  When your between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end.  Because I am God, your PERSONAL God”.  What an encouragement to us when we have come to the end of the road. God is with us and he will make a new way!
The dead end is meant for us to look to him. If your at a dead end today, as he has said “Don’t be afraid. I’ve called your name”
