There are times, in our travels, when we see a crossroad. Which way do we turn? Is it this way or that? If we’re fortunate, we have directions, or, at the very least, access to a map or a gps to help guide our way when an unfamiliar crossroad appears.
Life also has tools to help in our personal “life crossroads”. Tools such as the trusted advice of a mentor, family member, friend, counselor or someone else who has already been where we’re trying to go. It’s nice to know at a crossroad, we have help and we don’t have to go it alone!
It’s the same way for our spiritual life and our souls. We WILL find ourselves at the crossroads of life sometimes. Take heart! There is good news if you are WILLING. You can see for yourself in Jeremiah 6.16 where we’re told,
“This is what the Lord says, Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way and walk in it. Travel it’s path and you will find rest for your souls”. How awesome to know we aren’t traveling our “life crossroads” alone.
